Do you come up with the whole shoot concept or do you have a team meeting of sorts to decide on what you’re gonna shoot next?

When you come up with a concept is it for the sake of fun (which most of mine are) or to get it submitted to a magazine (which I’d really like to do)?

Do you submit the majority of your work to magazines? If so, how do you go about submitting the work?

Who are your favorite (fashion/editorial/whimsical) photographers?

I too would like to hear answers to Becky’s questions, but I also have the following questions:

1. I’d like to hear what you have to say about putting together a website. How do you feel about one-stop solutions that offer templates, hosting, domains, as well as printing and order fulfillment vs. securing a domain name, finding a host, designing the site, implementing sales tools, coordinating a lab for prints and distributing orders yourself? Pro/cons of each approach? Cost variances? Other considerations? Resources for each method?

2. I’d really like to hear what you have to say about file management. How do you develop an effective/efficient file naming convention and organized folder structure?

What is your process for editing photos? I find that I get stuck in my process. Where do you start? How many photos do you choose? How are you able to choose just ONE photo from a strong group of images? How did you decide that it was time to create your business? What advice would you give to someone who is debating on whether or not to start up a photography business? How do you keep business flowing? Do you do photography other than just fashion photography to pay the bills? Or can you float on just fashion photography? Do you allow shadows at your shoots? Do you take interns? How much control do you really have over everything on the shoot? Do you come up with the make up and outfits? Or do you have everyone show up, tell them your vision and let them interpret it as they will? How much are you directing the model as they pose?

I probably have a ton more questions and these are probably generic questions that could be answered by Google but I really do admire your photography! I’d love to hear your answers!!
