Late Night Boredom
Some people fish, some people golf… what all these types of people have in common is an addiction for that one moment where they accomplish something rare. A hole in one, that big fish, or whatever it is they’re searching for.
For me it’s discovering a new muse. I found Sarah in a night of boredom… I didn’t find her through another photographer and I didn’t see an application from her in my in-box. No, I found her the old fashioned way… I found her randomly on MySpace. Very old-fashioned.
When I’m bored I tend to do this kind of thing…
We had our first test shoot a few weeks ago and we have used her for three fully styled concept shoots since then (black lace, cakes and afghans). Very promising indeed!
So, one Friday night,a couple days before a vacation, I was close enough to being caught up that I thought a break could be justified, just so my brain didn’t explode. So at 11:00PM I noticed Sarah was awake and online, which gave me an idea… we shot these at about 11:45PM.
I don’t know about you but it sure makes me think I stumbled on something very rare.
Lovely Model indeed, I too stalk Myspace sort of awkward to find just the random desired model. Often times turning into a pretty good Idea.
I really like the top photo as well as the third photo.
The second one Is a bit too bland for my personal taste, the tones are almost too muted, and my first thought to the bit behind her hair was tentacles, and I’m not quite sure If that was what you were going for but I digress to each his own. Only other complaint is when you changed her eye color it flared up a bit too high on to her last loosing a bit of the clarity and expression, as well as the white of her eyes matches the color of the background, I would have changed that as well, otherwise and overall another wonderful shoot as to be expected from your work.

She is very pretty and has incredible skin I must say. I love the first and third one. I just like how awesome her eyes look in the first one and very cool idea with the third. Pretty good for a late night shoot!!

I disagree with some commenters, I like the 2nd and 4th ones better because they express more movement and flow, as opposed to 1st & 3rd (more static). The 5th is a bit underlit for me, but those are all very minor quibbles

I love the effect in the 4th photo from the top… Very cool brush!
